SERV (Services Empowering Rights of Victims) accepts donations of toiletries, hygienic products, kitchen supplies, and 'birthday bags' (cake mix, frosting, paper products, a small gift for a child - please tag separately from other donations) for moms and children on the run from abusive situations. You may drop off these items into the marked bin in the vestibule of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, open daily. At Our Lady Queen of Peace, items may be donated to SVDP, as Caring Thru Crisis is one of their charities. Please note that due to lack of space, the shelter cannot accept clothing donations. Instead, the shelter receives clothing donations when needed from Angel of God, 334 South Broadway, Pitman, NJ. Thank you for any support you can provide.

Looking for a community service project? Making “birthday bags” is fun & easy to do, and always in need. A birthday bag consists of cake mix, frosting, candles, paper products, & small toy/activity, pre-packaged in a shopping bag to enable a mom to spend quality time with her child during a very stressful situation. Small numbers of bags, specially labeled to stand out, can be placed in the Caring thru Crisis bin. Please call for large numbers to be picked-up. Contact Peggy Koen at 856-582-1620, or email email@example.com with Caring Thru Crisis in the subject line.
If you are involved in a group that would like to do a project for the shelter, please contact Peggy Koen.
