Altar Rosary Society

The Altar Rosary Society is a group of parish women whose primary purpose is to take care of the altar and promote devotion to the Rosary and the Blessed Mother. Members regularly assume the cleaning and decorating of the altar and sanctuary at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Church, as well as the laundering of the altar linens.  Through various events throughout the year, money is raised to purchase altar linens and other needed items as requested by the pastor. First Communion Gifts for the children each May are also provided by members of the Altar Rosary Society, and they also provide a Citizenship Award to a graduating senior at Pitman High School.

Once a month from September through June, formal meetings are held at Our Lady’s Hall in Pitman followed by fellowship and refreshments. January's meeting is always a covered dish supper; June is BBQ and Bingo!

May is the Month of Mary.  Each Sunday in May members will place fresh flowers on the Blessed Mother's Altar at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Church. One Sunday in May the ladies attend 9:00 am Mass together to remember past and present members followed by breakfast together.

Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm, except for January and June which begin at 6:30 pm.
