Facility Stewardship Ministry Coordinator
Summary of Responsibilities: Recruit and lead a committee of volunteers for the maintenance, care, preparation and restoration of the parish facilities in response to their ministry needs and general care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Recruits, trains and coordinates parish volunteers to serve as Facility Stewardship Ministers.
- Coordinates needs and usage of facilities for all parish events through leadership of ministry volunteers.
- Provides all parish ministries general assistance as needed through setting up chairs and tables in the facilities as requested by ministry leaders.
- Performs minor maintenance of the rectory, church, and/or other church buildings. Accomplishes this by doing light carpentry work and minor repair work on the facilities as needed.
- In coordination with the Pastor and Pastoral Associate, oversees major projects for remodeling or repair of parish facilities or grounds.
- Moves furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
- Locks and unlocks facilities for use; secures building after facility use is complete (locks & lights).
- Notifies Pastor or Pastoral Associate of needed repairs discovered in performance of duties.
- Assists with inventory control of cleaning and custodial paper products.
- On-call availability for emergencies.
