Learning

Our journey of faith is a life-long journey in which we strive to grow in our relationship with God.

Lifelong Faith Formation seeks to develop the whole person to see things first through the eyes of faith.  Our faith formation is a journey that does not end at Confirmation; rather it should intensify and continue throughout our lifespan.  Primarily, this is accomplished through catechesis, which means "to echo."  We are to be witnesses to the Gospel, bringing Christ to all that we encounter.  We cannot practice our Catholic faith in isolation.  The World needs people of faith in order to flourish and to promote the common good.

According to the National Directory for Catechesis, the six fundamental tasks of catechesis are: knowledge of the faith, liturgical education, moral formation, teaching to pray, community life, and missionary spirit.

If you are interested in growing in your faith, please consider joining a prayer group, bible study or ministry.  For more information, please contact the Parish Office or Shannon Cassidy at DRE@mary-mom.com.
