The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process through which adults and older children join or complete their initiation into the Catholic Church. It’s primarily for 1) those who are not baptized, 2) those who were baptized into another Christian denomination and now wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church, 3) baptized Catholics who were never formed in the Faith and have not completed their initiation (Eucharist and/or Confirmation) and 4) those who are still unsure but want to learn more about the Catholic Church. The RCIA team guides adults as they journey to become full members of the Catholic Church.
Prior to beginning this journey of faith, an application must be completed at Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish.
